Imagine if you could scrub your floors noticeably clean with only water. Tennant Company, world-wide designer and manufacturer of environmental cleaning solutions, has done just that with its patented, chemical-free ec-H2O ™ cleaning technology.
It’s a revelation in green cleaning that has not gone unnoticed, most recently, earning Tennant Company the 2009 European Business Award (EBA) for Business Innovation of the Year. Karel Huijser, Tennant Company’s Vice President of International, received the award on behalf of Tennant Company.
“We are very pleased with this independent recognition of our ec-H2O technology. It strengthens our belief that developing more environmental cleaning solutions is the right way to go for Tennant Company, also - and perhaps especially - in these challenging economic times. Our customers benefit from the cost-savings and efficiency increases while at the same time they can preserve natural resources,” Karel said.
Tennant was selected from among 10 finalists for the award, including Honeywell and eight other prominent European Fortune 100 firms. Over 7,000 applications were received for the EBA. This is the second International award given to Tennant for ec-H2O within the past year. In 2008, R&D Magazine recognized ec-H2O as a Top 100 Innovation.
Available on a number of the company’s Tennant- and Nobles-branded commercial scrubbers, ec-H2O electrically converted water cleans with the same or better results as traditional cleaning detergents. This break-through innovation offers commercial cleaning operations a sustainable scrubbing solution without the financial and environmental costs associated with conventional cleaning chemicals.
